Stony Clove Notch is the dividing place between Hunter Mountain on left and Plateau Mountain on right, in the Catskills. Notch Lake reflects the steep sides of the notch, with algae and driftwood breaking the surface. State Highway 214 passes between.
I've passed by this location countless times over the past 50 years. Finally got around to painting it.
