Rip Van Winkle

A painting of Rip Van Winkle the morning he wakes up. In the Washington Irving story, Rip hikes into an area with tall cliffs and a large waterfall. I placed Rip at Kaaterskill Falls, for it is the most fitting real location described in the story, not far from the town the story is set in. He is bewildered and doesn't yet know he woke from a 20 year sleep.
